Casting for Recovery is a national non-profit support and educational organization that serves women who have or have had breast cancer. CFR promotes and supports mental and physical healing while giving these women the opportunity to gather in a beautiful, natural setting and learn fly fishing.
Last year CMCTU donated 25 dozen flies for CFR retreats. We would like to donate even more this year. For their May retreat, we need your flies by our April meeting. CMCTU also helps CFR by providing fishing guide volunteers. Ghillies Fly Shop and CMCTU have teamed on a special offer. TFO is a corporate supporter of CFR and makes special 86, 5-weight and 9, 8-weight CFR rods. If you purchase one of these rods at Ghillies and donate it to CMCTU, we will donate the rod and an additional $40 to CFR and you will receive a donation letter for tax purposes. In addition, for each CFR rod purchased from a TFO dealer, TFO will donate $25 to CFR. Also, Orvis will match any donation you make to Casting for Recovery. Click here for more details. |
