2008 Parent Youth Day will take place July 19th and 20th at Puma Hills Ranch. CMCTU has expanded our Parent/Youth Day to two days, a full weekend, because demand from families last year was more than we could accommodate in just one day.

Parent Youth Day

2008 Parent Youth Day will take place July 19th and 20th at Puma Hills Ranch.

CMCTU has expanded our Parent/Youth Day to two days, a full weekend, because demand from families last year was more than we could accommodate in just one day.

Our location on the Tarryall River is the same.

In order for the families to have a better chance at catching a fish we moved the event from June to July to get past spring runoff.

With two separate days of family instruction, we will need volunteers for Saturday, Sunday or both. Please contact Sam to volunteer to help teach a youth to catch a fish and enjoy the outdoors with their parents.

Along with volunteers we also need to recruit participants. If you know of anyone who might be interested in attending please have them contact Barry for details.

Conservationist Gifford Pinchot wrote 70 years ago in his book Fishing Talk, “Wherever you go, and whenever you can, take the youngster along.”

If you love to fish, help share the sport with someone new. By involving the youth of today in fly fishing as an outdoor activity we can develop a legacy for the future of our sport.
