Benefits of Belonging to Trout Unlimited
The fundamental benefit of being a member of Trout Unlimited is that one is a participant, a sharer, in the mission of the organization, namely the protection, conservation and restoration of our nation’s cold-water fisheries, resources and their watersheds, and one gets great satisfaction from being a part of this through both financial contributions and physical labor. Trout Unlimited is an action organization.
There are also peripheral benefits. One gets Trout magazine, the national publication, Streamside, published by Colorado Trout Unlimited, our overarching state organization, and certain discounts, opportunities for which appear in Trout or in special mailings. And, very significantly for active members, there is the comradeship–the sharing of project work, fishing tips, the exchange of fly patterns and lures, rod-building skills, what have you; in short, the sharing of everything that goes with being one with those who care about TU’s mission, the greatest guys and gals you’ll ever meet.
